Hermanus High School is particularly proud of its top academic achievers. 368 matriculation candidates obtained A-aggregates during the past seventy five years.

Six of these pupils were respectively placed first, second and fourth on the Cape Senior Certificate Merit List (1942-1994):

Mervyn Gotsman 1951: 2^nd

Peter Janson 1959: 1^st

Louise Voigt 1961: 4^th

Jacques Grové 1991: 4^th

Danie Coetzee 1994: 1^st

Bjorn Ladwig 1994: 2^nd

while the last four were placed on the Western Cape Senior Certificate Merit List

(1995-2016)

Tarryn Rudnick 2007: 4^th

Nita Wiegman 2012: 1^st in Western Cape ad 2^nd in South Africa

Conrad Strydom 2016: 1^st in Western Cape and 1^st in South Africa

Sian Bourdin 2016: included in the Western Cape Education Department Merit List

CONGRATULATIONS HERMANUS HIGH SCHOOL!

Hermanus High School would like to congratulate the matric class of 2021 on their outstanding results. The school is very pleased to announce that it has achieved a 100 pass rate. More importantly 86% of the candidates (132 out of 152) have achieved a Bachelor Degree pass (university exemption) and 186 pupils achieved subject distinctions. This is once again a clear indication of the quality education offered by the school.
